What is a McGrath Breast Care Nurse?

A McGrath Breast Care Nurse is a registered nurse with specialist training and qualifications in breast care.  The McGrath Breast Care Nurse is part of the breast cancer treatment team and works in conjunction with surgeons, oncologists, GPs, hospital staff and allied health staff .


How can they help?

McGrath Breast Care Nurses are registered nurses with specialist training in breast cancer care.  Providing support, information and care from time of diagnosis, a McGrath Breast Care Nurse can be with you through out your experience with breast cancer - through any treatments you might need, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery; rehabilitation, counselling, and follow-up services.


Making an appointment with a Breast Care Nurse

The McGrath Breast Care Nurse is available by appointment Mondays,  Wednesdays and Thursdays (08:00 - 16:30)

Anyone in the Bass Coast area can self refer to the Breast Care Nurse by calling 0417 552 327 to arrange an appointment.

Health Care professionals can fax a referral through to (03) 5671 3348
