Fixed-Term Part-Time 32 hours per fortnight (6 month project)

An exciting opportunity is available for someone with a passion for enhancing patient outcomes and an interest in developing and improving services.

The Victorian Nurse Practitioner Program (VNPP) is an initiative to implement a nurse practitioner model of care into health services to reflect the full diversity of nursing practice and address service gaps.  The Nurse Practitioner Program Project Coordinator will play a key role in developing and implementing a nurse practitioner model in BCH’s growing critical care service.

Selection Criteria:

  • Ability to develop and expand NP services, with a review of specific service planning and workforce analysis
  • Ability to identify a NP model and develop a service model
  • Ability to align the proposed NP service model with key organisational, state or national service/policy frameworks
  • Ability to establish corporate, clinical and educational governance structures
  • Ability to develop a business case for sustainable internal budgets
  • Outstanding interpersonal and oral communication skills, to facilitate proactive engagement of stakeholders during consultation and role implementation (recruitment)
  • Strong written skills and experience in the preparation of timely, clear and concise communications
  • A valid police check
