Position Summary

We are looking for passionate Registered Nurses to join us in the Emergency Department at Wonthaggi hospital.  We are a dynamic, supportive and hardworking team delivering quality Emergency and High Dependency care.  We treat a variety of presentations including stabilizing critically ill patients. Wonthaggi hospital also provides a comprehensive range of services including Inpatient Medical and Surgical, Community Health, Mental Health, Allied Health and Dental Health services.


Key Selection Criteria:

Registered Nurse (RN) holding current practicing certificate with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia

  • Experience in Emergency Department (ED) and Short Stay Unit
  • ALS certified (or working towards same)
  • Effective time-management
  • High standard of documentation
  • Competent medication administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent patient assessment skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Able to a work rotating roster is essential
  • Ability to work in both the ED and HDU
  • ED post-graduate certificate in Emergency Nursing or ICU desirable
