HELPING BASS COAST HEALTH HELP LOCAL FAMILIES

Bass Coast Health’s (BCH) Pastoral Care program was recently very fortunate to receive a generous contribution from Trinity Families, which will help to ensure the service can continue to provide comfort to individuals and families during a hospital stay.

The program is run in partnership with the Wonthaggi-Inverloch Inter Church Council and engages volunteers to provide pastoral and spiritual care to Wonthaggi Hospital patients.

A cheque for $6,000 was presented to Wonthaggi-Inverloch Inter Church Council member Geraldine Heffernan and BCH’s Manager of Social Work and Counselling Kim Bolding by Bishop Pat O’Regan from Sale at Sion House in Warragul.

Trinity Families is a charity that disperses funding to service providers who support families in the Gippsland region and the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This year the charity gave out a whopping $108,500 to eight different services within the Diocese of Sale.

BCH CEO Jan Child said, “We are extremely grateful for this generous contribution from Trinity Families. We also thank and acknowledge the ongoing commitment and support of the Wonthaggi-Inverloch Inter Church Council who provide wonderful support which enables us to help so many people through our Pastoral Care program”.
