SOLUTION TO HEALTH TRANSPORT ACROSS GIPPSLAND SOUTH COAST

South Gippsland Hospital, Gippsland Southern Health Service and Bass Coast Health recently worked with the community to prepare a submission that will see access to transport for non-urgent medical appointments across the Gippsland South Coast catchment.

Three additional vehicles will be located across the three health services to provide local transport options.

Health service CEO’s Chris Trotman, Mark Johnson and Jan Child have stated how thrilled they are to have received the announcement of additional resources to improve access to health services.

In a joint statement, they said, “We will continue to work with the community to ensure we are better able to support community members to access their local and sub-regional health services and receive treatment locally.  This is just another example of how the collaboration between our three health services is improving access to health care”.
