STOP THE SPREAD
Across our sites you will see signs advising people that if they have any viral/flu like symptoms (eg. cough, fever, runny nose, body aches and pain) to present to reception where they will be given a mask to wear and then asked further questions about their potential exposure to COVID -19.

Anyone who has symptoms AND has travelled overseas within the last 2 weeks is provided a phone number to ring and asked to return to their car. Staff will come to the car in personal protective clothing to assist them. If they do not have a car or phone, they are to present to Reception where further advice will be provided.

These measures are designed to reduce the chance of any spread if someone has COVID-19. Please do not be alarmed if you see staff with personal protective equipment (PPE) attending to patients in the front car parks.

VISITOR RESTRICTIONS – HOSPITAL AND AGED CARE

Under the State of Emergency Act, all hospitals and aged care facilities across Victoria have been directed to stop all non-essential visitors to protect the safety of vulnerable patients and healthcare workers.
Strict visitor restrictions are now in force at West Gippsland Hospital and aged care facilities of Cooinda and Andrews House.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we try to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
