People seeking a test for COVID-19 should call the Warragul Specialist Centre, 197 – 199 Sutton Street Warragul, directly on 5642 6666 to make an appointment.
Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) has been working closely with general practices across the region to establish respiratory clinics at six sites in Gippsland with the first to open at Warragul.

The new respiratory clinic in Warragul is located at the Warragul Specialist Clinic at 197-199 Sutton Street.

Those seeking to be tested for COVID-19 must register for an appointment at: https://www.hotdoc.com.au/medical-centres/warragul-VIC-3820/warragul-respiratory-clinic/doctors
or phone 5642 6666.

A nurse will meet patients at the entrance to triage the person to the appropriate consulting room for testing. If access to electronic registering is difficult, the person will be assisted at the clinic.

Once the person has been tested, they will need to self-isolate at home until they receive their results – expected to take up to two days. Depending on the outcome, they will either be referred for more treatment or be cleared of COVID-19.

The Australian Department of Health (DoH) has funded 100 private practice respiratory clinics across Australia to provide dedicated services to people with mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms, in addition to services available within public hospitals and general practices.

In addition to the Warragul clinic, other respiratory clinics are located at:

Morwell – the Healthcare Centre
Bairnsdale – Bairnsdale Medical Group
Sale – Inglis Medical Centre
Wonthaggi – Wonthaggi Medical Group
Foster – Foster Medical Clinic
